Street Stories is not simply an art event.
It is a platform for local identity, cOMMUNITY Art Partnerships, and cultural connection.
A Community Mural Experience
In partnership with Art Crawl inc. Street Stories is a community mural and cultural experience designed to spotlight the voices, stories, and creativity already living within the city.
With collaboration from The Depot Arts District by Lakeland Art Association, we’re transforming public spaces into immersive artistic experiences, creating opportunities for local artists and small businesses to be seen, supported and remembered while building deeper connections between art, culture, and community.
Our Community Partnerships
LOCAL IMPACT, PAINTED LOUD
Street Stories creates lasting community impact by adding value to our city through art, storytelling, and connection. By celebrating and elevating local artists, the initiative helps shape Lakeland's cultural identity while transforming public spaces into places people want to gather, explore, and share.
Activating the city by bringing together artists, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups to collaborate on meaningful creative experiences that strengthen local relationships. Through digital storytelling and social media integration, each mural and artist's journey extends beyond the wall itself, creating shareable moments that inspire community engagement, increase visibility for local creatives, and invite residents and visitors alike to become part of the city's evolving story.
-
To bring communities together through art that speaks to culture, identity, creativity, and human connection.
-
To empower artists to reflect the stories, energy, and culture already living within their cities through visual storytelling and public art.
Street Stories exists to create opportunities for artists to be seen, supported, and remembered while helping cities rediscover the creativity already present within their own communities.
-
Street Stories believes the culture of a city is best told by the people living, creating, and evolving within it.
Through public art and storytelling, we create space for local artists to share their experience, reflect their communities, and leave a lasting visual impact on the places they call home.
Street Stories believes local artists deserve to be active voices within their city’s creative landscape
